The Shalom House: Arts and Community Center exists to practice Kingdom community, nurturing holistic disciples who love, work, live, and serve alongside each other, displaying irrefutable proof of the power of the gospel to a broken world, and strengthening the testimony of the gospel to the world around us all so that the influence of the gospel may “go and do likewise” in places it has not yet reached.

We envision a ministry hub where like-minded Christian workers (missionaries/ministers/lay people) participate in intentional Kingdom community, serving together in the arts, sharing in the gospel, and inviting those outside to experience Kingdom community in order to reach Japan for Christ.

We do this by intentionally equipping, learning and practicing spiritual disciplines together as a staff so that we can practice the application of a holistic gospel within Shalom House and its other ministries. We also do this by creating a well-crafted, welcoming space and inviting people to experience a holistic application of the gospel by attending various art classes and community offerings hosted by Shalom House staff.
